This is a new award. It will be presented every year on December 31. I was going to call it Player of the Year, but I think Member of the Year sounds better, seeing as though this award is more than just about playing. It gives me great pleasure to announce that our very 1st member of the year goes to RobinRose
Below is the write up which went along with her Player of the Month Award. Since receiving this award, I have some updates about Robin. As of August she has been promoted to Moderator and has become a full fledged staff member. She is quite helpful and knowledgeable, and always such a pleasure to speak with. Over the past 2 years, I have gotten to know her on a personal level, through pm, e mail, skype, and voice conversations on the phone. She is sharp and witty, but she also has a serious side. Robin is a true asset to this site, personally and as staff. Any 3 people could replace her. As I said, we have gotten to know each other on a friends level, which is what this site is all about, building relationships. Not romantic relationships, but good strong friendships. I can actually say that knowing her has had a positive impact on my personal life and my staff life. I am so proud of her.
It is a great honor for Leon and me to present this award to the user/staffer known as RobinRose. With this award comes a full 1 year platinum membership, and her avatar will be a mini version of her award. Thanks for everything you do on the site Robin, but mostly, thanks for everything you have helped me with.

The Player of the Month Award for July 2011 goes to RobinRose. RobinRose has been a member of our community since December 2009. When I first met Robin, she was quiet, shy, and terrified to even contact me. As she started to come out of her shell, I discovered that she was shy, quiet, and slightly neurotic. Frequently when she sends me a PM my first response is “breathe”. Over the past year and a half, Robin has become quite good at many games. In fact, she is the IBPArcade Downloads Most Improved Player over the last 8 months. Robin is also an arcade helper, the first member in this test project. For those of you that don’t know what an arcade helper is, it is a member that has the ability to sort games. In return, they receive access to the Subscribers games, and increased downloads. Since February 1, when we started this test program, she has sorted 1896 games. Without her help, and the other helpers we would have a ton less games categorized. Not only is she a good gamer and an asset to the site with her sorting ability, but she is a truly nice person. If you don’t know her, please take the time to meet her. You will not be sorry.
