Today we opened up a new addition to the site. Real-time one on one chat.

At the bottom of the screen you will notice a grey bar, to the right of this bar it will says "Who's Online", clicking this will show you a list of all the users who are currently active on the site. To begin a conversation with someone just click their name and a new tab will appear on the grey bar and you will be able to chat directly with that user. If you see me online, feel free to pop up and speak to me about anything.

Please note that URL's transmitted through the chat system will be monitored. Any abuse of the chat system will result in that specific user losing the right to chat.

You can easily turn yourself offline by clicking the settings button (bottom right (it looks like a cog)) and the selecting Busy, Invisible or Offline.

This is a very similar chat system to that used on Facebook. I feel that it is a nice addition which is more private than the shoutbox. If you have any questions regarding this or anything else then please let me know.
