Hi, I'm SunnySea and I'm lost.

My husband and I have a small little private site that we have an arcade on.
We run vBulletin v 3.8.4 and ibpro v 2.7.0+

I have several games that just won't install. Usually the v32 games. The weird thing is they WERE installed and working at one point and now I can't get them to install at all. I get the dreaded "change the CHMOD to 0777" nag. I have repeatedly gone into the ftp and right clicked on the game in the folder (and the entire folder itself) and changed it to 0777. Still won't install...

Any ideas???

The first thing you need to do Sunny is post in the verification area and have your site verifies. This basically entails, you putting your website url in your profile. After verification, more will be revealed. For now, try this:

or this:

My request post has been in the Verification area for 2 days. I have a screen shot of my arcade in a .PDF file, which I would be willing to post here, but I Can't upload here. My site is private.... other than giving someone here my personal log in information or creating a temporary user name and password for someone here, there is no way to view my site. My members are very private and I have to respect their privacy.

I have googled my question and read till my eyes bled on vBulletin and only found similar issues from 2006 and 2007, with no answers.

I have resolved the fact that I will now have to uninstall my entire arcade and do a fresh install and hope it will fix my problems.

a temporary user name and password would be fine. If you want to pm those to me, I can take care of the verification. As far as the techie stuff, I am a technotard, so I am afraid that I wont be able to help there. I do have one suggestion. If you are getting the chmod error, change the whole dirrectory to 777. I believe that there is another set of permissions that will work, but I'm not sure what they are.

Hey SunnySea, Sorry I didn't welcome you sooner. I am glad to hear you managed to get your problems with your arcade sorted. Hopefully now you can enjoy far more games. We have to many to choose from though, so good luck with that!! :D

I hope you enjoy your time at the site and if ever you need anything you know you can always ask.
