I've noticed that when an equal score is logged the time stamp isn't updated...
I just played R-Shot Version 3 and got a perfect score the first time (rather easy actually) but since I had the sound off I couldn't hear the gun reloading, which for sure cost me some time as far as an 'optimum' score...upon playing it a second time I also got the perfect score (again easily if you adjust the scope settings) but the time wasn't updated...this game, which is easy, is an extreme example of needing to update time stamps also when the scores are logged....of course, if its even possible to set up the arcade in that matter...there are of course other games where perfect scores are possible and in the event of a 'showdown' between players it would be impossible for a real duel to happen as the players would be stuck with their first logged times and wouldn't be able to do better...

In the case of a tie , the top spot goes to the player who earned the score first so time stamps wouldn't factor in anyways
